A short manifesto on why the first hour of the day is the only one that reliably belongs to you — and what happens when you keep score during it.
The name
Morning Futures is a double meaning. There are futures markets — the contracts that price tomorrow before it happens. And there is the future you are building, one decision at a time. Both get decided in the morning, before the noise arrives.
The problem
We consume takes from the moment we wake up and we are accountable for none of them. Feeds reward the loudest voice, not the most accurate one. Nobody keeps score, so nobody has to be right — they only have to be interesting.
The ritual
Read the prep. Make your calls. Lock them before the bell. That is the whole ritual, and it fits inside a subway ride. What you get back is not another opinion thread — it is a scoreboard.
The receipts
Every call is timestamped and public. Nothing can be edited after 9:30 AM ET and nothing can be deleted after the fact. Over a season, that record says more about your judgment than anything you could write about it.
